The crochet magic ring is also sometimes called a crochet magic circle, a slip ring, and adjustable ring or a magic loop. If your pattern tells you to start with any of those, just follow these directions!
1. Make a loop at about 10 cm from the end of the yarn so that the shorter yarn tail runs underneath the longer one.
2. Insert the crochet hook through the loop, from front to back. Grab the longer yarn tail and bring back through the loop.
5. Make 1 Chain Stitch.
