A double crochet stitch (abbreviated as dc) is a basic crochet stitch that creates a tall and open fabric.
1. Yarn over the hook.
2. Insert the hook into the next stitch after that. Then Yarn over again.
3. Pull through the yarn over the loops. Now you have 3 loops on the hook.
4. Yarn over. Pull the yarn through only the first two loops on the hook.
5. Yarn over again. Pull the yarn through the last 2 loops.
6. Double crochet stitch is done.
